Projector biggie NEC is making a comeback into LCD monitor territory, with the release of the 17-inch MultiSync LCD175M. Mainly targeted towards office users that need to reduce energy bills, the 17-inch MultiSync LCD175M monitor features an EPEAT Gold rating, as well as ENERGY STAR 5.0 and TCO 5.0 compliance. The monitor boasts a new power circuit design that achieves 0.4W power in Power Savings Mode and Power Off. Its ECO Mode technology allows users to switch between two energy-savings modes and enables the calculation of power consumption savings. According to NEC, it consumes up to 42-percent less power than its predecessors.
