Kingston has announced the DataTraveler Micro, which, according to the company is one of the world’s smallest USB flash drives. The DataTraveler Micro is designed in an ultra-small form factor that can be left in devices, such as tablet PCs, slim notebooks, netbooks or car audio systems, while on the move. The drive’s 4 gram weight and compact size adds up to 16GB of extra storage to a device without increasing its footprint. It is simple to use and is a plug and play device, so it just needs to be connected to any device with a USB port. Incredibly small
The DataTraveler Micro blends in without blocking other controls and is simple to use for storing, transferring and sharing photos, videos, music and other favorite files, while on the move. It has an operating temperature of 0 degrees C to 60 degrees C and is compatible with Win 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS X v 10.5+ and Linux v2.6.x+. Some of the listed capacity on the flash storage device is used for formatting and other functions and is obviously not available for data storage, so the actual available capacity for data storage is less than what is listed on the products.
The DataTraveler Micro is available in 8GB and 16GB variants, and is backed by a five-year warranty and free technical support. |
