Samsung Mobile, the No. 1 mobile phone provider in the U.S., is announcing its collaboration with Jitterbug, a company that specializes in innovative wireless services, to create the Jitterbug J in Red mobile phone in support of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement. The Jitterbug J or A310 in Red mobile phone is one part of a major health and wellness initiative from Jitterbug and Samsung Mobile encouraging women to “speak up” against heart disease. To assist in the education and bring awareness to complications of heart disease, the Jitterbug J in Red will feature health and wellness services and applications including “Daily Health Tips”, which sends heart-healthy tips from the American Heart Association directly to the user’s Jitterbug J as well as Jitterbug’s award-winning LiveNurse service, that connects customers to 24-hour registered nurses offering medical advice and support. This flip phone handset weighs in at just 4.06 ounces and also features a 2.1-inch TFT LCD display inside with a 176 x 220 pixel resolution and 262K colors and a smaller 1.07-inch screen on the outside. Bluetooth is also available for wireless handsfree connectivity. Jitterbug, in collaboration with Samsung Mobile is supporting the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement with a donation up to $500,000 based on handset sales. The Jitterbug J in Red is designed to be an easy-to-use device that offers users a simple menu navigation system, instant access to features by using basic yes/no questions, a loud speakerphone with padded ear cup, and a large display and keypad. The Jitterbug J in Red will be available in this month. |
