China’s electronic manufacturer Gemei has developed a new PMP that won’t just play a whole bunch of video and audio files but games too. The X-760 has a 500MHz processor with a three inch TFT display with 16 million colors and USB connectivity. That’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the features this PMP has. The X-760 also comes equipped with a external memory support using SD cards up to 4GB. This player’s high speed processor enables it to play video files at 30 fps. The X-760 can read RM, RMVB, DAT and AVI video files and is also compatible with MP3, WMA, APE, and FLAC file formats. It also has a text and image viewer for files with TXT, JPG, BMP, GIF and GIF extensions. The X-760 has an FM radio and the best part is it has an emulator for playing games for NEO, GEO, NES, SFC, MD, GBA formats. Although the player may be available only in China for now, it’s quite possible we could see it here soon, in the grey market at least, I hope. The X-760 is available in 3 models 1, 2 and 3 GB with prices of Rs. 4272, Rs. 4806 and Rs. 5341 respectively. |
