I just read on TechCrunch that YouTube is doing something about letting people make their own movies. And this can be done without the use of any recording equipment whatsoever. This might prompt you to ask questions like how and why? Well, there’s plenty of content available on YouTube, but not everyone has the means to record this footage. So now, YouTube has launched a new section called Create Videos and it lets you do exactly that. Take your choice and start building your movies
There are three application users can use to do this – Stupeflix, GoAnimate and Xtranormal Movie Maker. Each of these applications allows people to make their own custom videos and using preset virtual avatars, custom speech, and more. while a lot of these features are free, users can also opt to pay and receive more options in case they want to broaden their creative horizons.
I haven’t checked out these applications yet, but they’re apparently not running very smoothly at the moment. This is because all these applications are run by third party companies, and there’s of too much load on the editors. But I really do think that this is a great way to experiment with your creative side, as these applications allow just about anyone to try their hand at being a filmmaker. Hopefully the companies hosting these applications will be able to deal with the amount of users soon, and things will start running smoothly. |
