Apple Buys 'iCloud' Domain

Cloud services have been talked about for a long time. Google is using it for its Chrome netbooks, Amazon has one for storing music bought from the store, even Sony has (had?) a cloud service for its PSN Plus subscribers.

With so many companies already doing cloud based business, why should Apple stay behind? Although it was supposed to release a cloud based service for its music store, certain licensing issues kept it from doing so. But the purchase of a domain called iCloud (how original) shows that Apple is nearing its goal and that its very own cloud service will be up and running soon which will allow customers to access their music from different devices. But how this will happen is yet unknown.

According to Dailytech.com, The ‘iCloud’ Domain used to belong to a Swedish company called Xcerion, which renamed its service to CloudMe as well as buying the domain associated with that name.The whole idea of a cloud system is very interesting and may soon be a part of every service out there. But what happens if you dont have an internet connection and want to access your files, that is something cloud services do not account for.
