Google's launched a feature that had been leaked late last month, but is officially out now - the "What Do You Love" search. If you go to www.google.com, (and not www.google.co.in), you will see a line at the bottom of the search box that reads, "Polar bears? Space Travel? Chocolate cake? What do you love?". If you click on the What Do You Love hyperlink, it will take you to the What Do You love search screen. There you can put in any words, like "Nutella", "Hulk Hogan" or even the name of your significant other (especially if you'd like to stalk him or her), and it will pull up all of Google's search features on one page. Searching with love for scuba
Of course, it means it pulls up snippets of Google's search features for your search words. You can start a discussion on scuba (for example) via Groups, get the latest news and images on scuba, find books on scuba, search scuba on the go with mobile, translate scuba into different languages with Translate, as well as find scuba nearby with Maps. Some interesting search features include finding patents with Patents, watching 3D results for your search words with Sketch Up, as well as measuring the popularity of your search words on the web with Trends. Go ahead and play around with it, you might end up with some interesting surprises. |
