Yahoo! launches redesigned avatar of Yahoo! Screen

Popular web services provider, Yahoo!, which has been a popular destination for services like messenger, email and search, among others, now plans to make it big in the online video viewing space. The result? It has launched its online premium portal, Yahoo! Screen with a revamped look. According to a report in Mashable, with the new look of its service, Yahoo! plans to explore a new avenue now, possibly even conquer it. Yahoo! Screen, according to the report, will house premium video and TV content. It is also being learnt that, the revamped site will have 8 new TV shows launched for its female audiences, during the Fall of this year.

The online video portal will have a significant amount of video content coming in from Hulu, courtesy a recently closed deal with the company. The revamped portal offers video content for users under several category heads, like Lifestyle, Sports, TV Shows, Movies, Comedy, News, Finance, among others, which visibly makes for a neat presentation. Yahoo! has also retained all its original content, which, it claims have received considerable love and attention from its audiences. The web-based shows, including Primetime in No Time, Tech Ticker, The Thread, among others are viewable on Yahoo! Originals - a tab on the revamped site.
