For all those who’ve been waiting to catch a glimpse of Yahoo’s ‘Direct’ ways can now see a date coming out soon. According to the top officials of the company, an India launch is well on the cards, tentatively by the second half of this year. The beta version of this service that released in the US, last week, will see a rather late release in India.

The service, as reported before, is believed to be furtherance to a similar service offered by competitor, Google. Yahoo believes that the ‘character-by-character prediction’ feature in its search service will give it an edge over that of its competitor. However, it was observed that Yahoo prioritized its own ventures in the searches that it offered, before letting out other options.

The final verdict, however, can only come after we try it out!
