Launched on the 1st April, 2011, Yes Prime Minister had everyone talking about it, if not playing it, that is. The bold tagline which reads – Build your corruption free India gives a chance to the users to build a corruption free India, at least virtually. For those of you who haven’t checked the game out already, here’s a glimpse into it. As the title suggests, the game surrounds around giving the highest governing position to the user, thereby giving him the leeway to steer the nation his way.

The game begins with an overview of the country’s map. With the user as the PM, other gamers get eligible for other portfolios in the ministry. Once assigned their portfolios, gamers can begin undertaking development projects in their respective ministries. The game grows alive with the inclusion of characters like Lalit Moody, Karuna Needy, Chaven, Hasan Kali, Radiya, Rajah,Kalmaddy which obviously are the namesakes of real-life personalities. Gamers can pull these characters up on corruption charges and even levy charges against them. The development projects need to be looked into regularly and worked on by the gamers, failure of which can lead to corruption, which is the case in real-life governance, too.

The game is fairly new, and the makers are constantly trying to innovate and add more of such characters. So, for all those who’ve been troubled by corruption could build the India of their dreams, albeit virtually.
