Facebook Launched "Questions" Service

29 Jul, 2010, 1:25 pm IST | tech2 News Staff | Services

The beta version of Facebook's "Questions" service launched today. This service allows anyone to post a question and the users in the community to post answers.

Users basically have to click on the Ask Question button on a user's profile and the question is visible to all of that user's friends and Facebook community. Users can even have polls and attach images to the questions. These questions will also have topic tags and therefore, people who have listed that topic in their interests will be able to post to the question.

This feature will put Facebook in direct competition with Yahoo!'s answer service. Will the 500 million users that Facebook has, help Facebook beat Yahoo! at their game?
