Amateur Film Makers Get Networking Site

18 Dec, 2006, 1:33 pm IST | Priyanka Pradhan | Services

YourBroadcaster.com has launched a new social networking site, aimed at avid movie buffs and amateur film makers. The portal is designed for members who want hands-on experience in movie making, with tools that help them to upload and devise a sequence of images, videos, audio and scenes online. The site will also generate a voting response from the visiting web audience, for the amateur film makers.

Members and viewers will be able to get to vote for their favorite uploads and will be able to access exclusive movie related content such as Movie Titles, Scripts, Characters, Directors, Special Effects, Stunts, Auditions and the like. Movie genres on the site range from thriller, drama, comedy, horror and even Bollywood.

Yourbroadcaster will allow users to access individual stages at different times, according to the different stages of film making. While Stage 1 features the titles, logline and synopsis, Stage 2 provides the overview of the screenplay and Stage 3 is involved with the screenplay or the actual movie script. Stage 4 revolves around production and Stage 5 is all about distribution that targets promotional work, public relations, marketing and release.

The portal will also arrange for prizes per project, which will be awarded at certain stages of the sign-up process for all paid members. The top voted members will then have their work submitted to feature or use in the final movie productions, whether it be a soundtrack or as an actual actor, stuntman, voice over artist or extra. Once the projects are closed and ready for filming, the top 100 members will receive 20% of the final members' sign-up sales.
