Cisco recently unveiled their new X-series range of all-in-one wireless routers with two models, the X2000 and the X3000. Both support ADSL2+ type broadband connections. Some of the features include wireless-N support with wireless transfer speeds up to 300 Mbps and Cisco Connect software that helps consumers set up their wireless network in a few easy steps on a Windows or Mac computer. The X2000 retails for Rs. 9,499, whereas the X3000 retails for Rs. 11,999. The extra cost is for Gigabit Ethernet ports and a USB port for sharing drives over the network.

Their existing E-series has also been refreshed. Some of the features include 3x3 spatial stream configurations for improved coverage, external power amplifiers to maintain signal strength over a greater distance and reduce dead spots, and virtual USB technology to connect USB printers, storage, and other devices to the network. The new E-series models also have native IPv6 support. You can have a look at the pricing and features of all the models below.

Lastly, Cisco also launched the Linksys Range Extender, RE1000, which is designed to take an existing wireless signal and then repeat it throughout the home to ‘extend’ the signal. It supports b/g/n speeds and is priced at Rs. 6,499.
