After Windows Phone Mango’s Twitter integration, an attendant at Microsoft’s Tech Ed conference has confirmed that future Windows Mobile Phones will include front cameras as well, which are essential for Skype video calls to function. Integrating them into the operating system itself helps the device in many ways. It helps minimize battery consumption by putting less overhead on the memory as the processes itself behave like system processes rather than application ones. Also, they plan to introduce mobile hotspot on Windows Phones that allow wireless connectivity between laptops, tablets and other devices. That plan is in development stages currently.

Competition is currently between powerhouses Google and Apple. Microsoft, for their part, have chosen to keep quiet about the OS’s future improvements and features but Windows Phone 7 is looking promising. It seems like Microsoft is definitely taking the right steps to counter Apple and Google’s dominance with their new operating system. Slowly but surely, Mango’s future definitely looks juicy!
