Microsoft has announced, via their Windows Phone Developer Blog, that they intend to expand the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace to include 19 new consumer markets. This takes their grand total of countries to 35. WP7 Marketplace to come to India
WP7 users in the following countries can now officially download apps from the Marketplace:
Besides these, seven new developer markets have also been added that can register in App Hub and submit apps. The seven new developer markets enabled include: Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, South Africa and South Korea. India and China will be added in a couple of months. The Marketplace has also received updates in the form of updated price tiers, improvements to mobile in-app advertising, App Hub localization, new private distribution of applications for beta apps and enhanced application management.
For those who are new to Windows Phone, App Hub is where you manage your account, change settings, submit and download applications and stay up-to-date on Windows Phone. |
