Yahoo is attempting to challenge Apple's FaceTime by making the Yahoo Messenger application available for iPhone and Android based devices with built in video calling capabilities. Yahoo says that the app will be available for both Android devices and iPhones but would not restrict video chatting abilities to those devices. Users could even chat from phone to computers. They also said that the video calling wouldn't be restricted to users' wifi networks, but would work over carrier networks. SOURCE: Engadget |
