Firefox 1.5.0.8 Released; Updates Updater

08 Nov, 2006, 3:11 pm IST | Aalaap Ghag |

Firefox 2.0 has been out for some time now and though most of the machines in our office have got the update installed, some 1.5.x machines are now getting an update message. However, it isn't a message to upgrade to 2.0, but to 1.5.0.8.

Firefox 1.5.0.8 is a minor update, mainly dealing with bug fixes, but the major change here is the updater component that will facilitate the pathway to Firefox 2.0 if you haven't already gone down that road. Firefox 2.0 is not being automatically offered to users of older versions as of now, but this update will ensure that it does when Mozilla enables it.

As usual, you should upgrade to Firefox 1.5.0.8 if you're still using any version before 2.0, but we recommend updating Firefox to the latest 2.0 instead.

It's quite short and it doesn't have any sort of versus multiplayer but The Darkness II is a polished and brutal shooter you should definitely check out, especially if you like ripping dudes to shreds.
