Openoffice Updated To 2.0.4. RC3

12 Oct, 2006, 4:05 pm IST | by Jayesh Mansukhani |

Openoffice has updated its free office productivity suite to 2.0.4 RC3. This is an interim release which fixes some language localization issues and offers bugfixes.

Openoffice which has found increasing acceptance due to its free status, has seen a decrease its development timeframe and therefore new releases are coming by quicker. Despite being taunted my Microsoft for being 'feature incomplete' it is already fairly mature and will suffice.

This release marks an important phase for Openoffice as it begins to move towards the announcement it had made recently regarding opening up Openoffice for plugin development.

For further details regarding the new release check out this post.
