Video sharing site, YouTube is soon becoming a hunting ground of sorts, for talent. BBC has just recruited a gadget reviewer, after spotting her on the video sharing site, to host the Sunday lifestyle show, 'Something For The Weekend.' 24 year old, Susi Weaser, who was then working as public relations personnel began testing gadgets, as a hobby. She posted her videos on blogging website Shiny Media, which in turn posted the one-minute video clips on YouTube. The films included her demonstrating mobile phones, laptops, a GPS and even a Cyberman head. The videos were spotted by producers from TV Company Princess Productions, which had been commissioned to make the new program for BBC2. Mike Worsley of Princess Productions said, "She's a natural and is very interactive with an audience." Read more here. |
