Flickr has revamped its mobile interface after seeing a dramatic increase in mobile devices uploading to and browsing Flickr in the past year. Those with a smartphone and a 'fancier' new mobile browser, will experience a completely new version of Flickr's mobile site. They will now be able to view Flickr videos on their mobile phone. Videos uploaded will be immediately viewable through the mobile site. This feature is also available on the iPhone, Android phones, as well as the iPod Touch. The activity stream has more information on it and will be synched according to the settings specified by the user on the main Flickr site. Users will also be able to comment on photos from their mobile phone. Flickr's made emailing photos from mobile phones to their site also a tad easier. The Flickr upload email address has to be entered in the mobile phone's address book under the name "Flickr", and an email sent to the same whenever something interesting is captured on camera. Users can also browse through the most interesting photos of the day, or search from the 3 billion+ photos on Flickr. |
