| The Mozilla Foundation will immortalize people's names in the Firefox code to commemorate the three year anniversary on July 15. According to the foundation, when a Firefox user persuades someone to download the browser before September 15 this year, both their names are added to the source code of the next version of the browser, Firefox 2.0. In addition, those names will be displayed on a digital "Firefox Friends Wall" at Mozilla headquarters in Mountain View, California. This move is an attempt to attract more users, considering the competition from Internet Explorer which currently hogs 83.05 percent of the market. According to a recent study by web analytics firm OneStat.com, Opera holds one percent of the browser market, Apple Safari holds 1.8 percent and Mozilla Firefox holds 12.5 percent. |
