22 Dec, 2006, 5:03 pm IST | by Priyanka Pradhan | Windows

Time Broadband services Ltd, an independent company founded by three techies, Sujata Dev, Amit Dev and Tushar Shah, has launched its IPTV venture for Indians, called 'MyTime.' The company aims to position itself as a bridge between content producers and telecom operators in the country.

The bouquet of services on offer will include interactive games, chat, SMS, polls/voting through television and the soon to be launched video phone through a common delivery platform. Although My Time's IPTV offer will come through telecom operator's landlines, the company says it is also ready for wireless technology.

My Time will be rolled out in association with wired telecom service providers such as Tata Telecom, Bharti Teleservices, Reliance Telecom and the state owned BSNL, and MTNL. The company claims to have around 100 channels on its platform.

The USP of 'My Time' will be international special interest channels which are not available on regular platforms such as DTH or C&S, but the company has yet to obtain the Indian government’s approval to broadcast these international channels.

TBSL has technological alliances with companies such as Hewlett Packard, Optibase, Verimatrix, Kassena and Amino.
