VoIP network, Skype, has announced its venture into social networking online, with the launch of skySpace, its media-centric social networking software. skySpace is aimed at multiplying the volume and quality of information shared among Skype's 136 million users, on Skype's 3.0 Gold Version for Windows. skySpace will enable Skype users, worldwide, to share their photos, video, audio, and documents via their skySpace homepage; either in private, or with the community at large. Users may also personalize their skySpace homepage with backgrounds, images, layouts, borders, and fonts while simultaneously conversing with their contacts, via IM. skySpace users may also access feedback on the number of visitors and their identities on the hompages. |
