Tata Indicom has become India's first telecom operator to launch an online store for mobile connections. This initiative, called 'i-choose', will allow customers to buy Tata Indicom postpaid connections at the click of the mouse with an upfront commitment of activation and free delivery of handset within 3 working days. i-choose is accessible from over 400 cities across the country. Customers can compare and select the appropriate tariff plan, handset and value added packs to suit their requirements. At the launch, Darryl Green CEO — TTSL, said, "As we move into the year of broadband, we want to take the lead by being the first service provider to introduce an online retail channel and offer our customers the convenience of buying mobile connections at the click of a mouse. With the introduction of 'i-choose', we hope to break away from the current clutter of mobile offers and empower our customers to make an informed decision." "We are committed to introduce services which are in line with the changing lifestyles and needs of our discerning customers. i-choose will help us to extend our reach across various segments and offer our customers the convenience of going mobile online", said Green. The e-Shop 'i-choose', is currently available across the 18 circles of Tata Teleservices and will be live in Mumbai the Rest of Maharashtra shortly. BillDesk will provide and manage the online payment gateway. The e-shop will also offer customer support linked with the central contact center. |
