Microsoft Has No Plans For Blu-Ray on Xbox 360

In a recent update on Engadget.com, Director of Programming for Xbox Live has confirmed that Blu-ray will not be added to Xbox, at least not as yet.

This was after confusion arising from a previous interview with Steve Ballmer of Microsoft, where a headline emerged out claiming an addon for the Xbox, to support the new HD format. They actually meant Blu-ray accessories for PC, and not their white video game console.
