As innocent as the name may sound, Rule of Rose is one sick game, and it's gotten itself in trouble in Europe. The PS2 survival horror that's already been released in Japan and America has been courting controversy for itself, thanks to some 'obscene cruelty' (I hear where children lay smothered in sacks while insects like spiders and snakes are shoved into them ) and is also accused of being 'profoundly shocking'. Rule of Rose was to be published by 505 games in Europe, but the publisher backed out at the last minute because of all the above mentioned factors. In case, you're wondering what the game's all about, here’s a slight head up: |
