Moserbaer MDI PDP 714 Portable DVD Player

Just last week we did a review of a nice portable system by Mitashi, which actually had decent options and performance quality. But this is the consumer electronics market, and without choices for us consumers it is incomplete. Thus we have a similar product by Moserbaer, a portable DVD player with screen. The model name is MDI PDP 714.

Design and Features
All portable units need to be light and well, portable in their form. This model successfully incorporates a small footprint, and a light weight. The finish is black matte all over, and is quite a simple looking, straight up no frills player when in 'off' state. The top panel opens out like a laptop and exposes the LCD screen on the inner surface. This panel can rotate about 270 degrees. The screen itself is non reflective, and has 2 speakers positioned below. The Moserbaer logo is positioned right at the center of these 2 speakers.

The accessories included are a car adapter, power cord, remote, triple RCA cord and a pair of earphones. The screen is a 7-inch TFT LCD model. Once open, the bottom half consists of the DVD tray, covered by a round, mechanically operated flap cover. To the right of the flap are black round flush mounted push buttons. On the top we have volume and setup, while the bottom edge is neighbor to a row of 3 buttons for play, stop and eject. The overall build quality I’m afraid is not very tough, as the screen here slightly wobbles. It's not like the thing will break easily, but it could just use a bit of sturdiness.
