In a world full of iPod docking stations, it’s no surprise to see Bose launch yet another. The latest to hit the stores is simply called Bose iPod Docking Station. The need for a docking station is in keeping with one's desire to have music played loudly, but it may not be that great an idea if you crave extreme loudness. Like all tech labs, we have seen our share of docking stations – even a waterproof dock for that matter – and going by past experience, the Bose docking station does seem to cut through the competition. At least, the docking station is huge, and can certainly meet your miniature-sized party requirements. The dock comes with a removable rechargeable battery that, according to the manual, can blare music for nearly half a day. To check, I hosted a sunrise party with limited people and no power outlet. The music kept going for eight hours before it showed signs of subsiding. The battery charges whenever you plug in to your wall outlet, and also charges the iPod. The volume keys can be found on the top right. |
