Infibeam Pi Ebook reader

23 Mar, 2010, 9:36 am IST | by Siddharth Bhatia |

The first Indian Ebook reader to hit our market, Infibeam.com, is from an online retailer based out of Ahmedabad, Gujarat who has gone the Amazon route. As Indians we are quite proud to have it and so here's taking a good look at it.

Design and Specs
This is the lightest Ereader product we’ve held, fact. It’s finished in pure milky white all through, with  tiny silver buttons on the slim side panels, and one largish square 4 way navigation pad on the front. One issue I had straightway is that the USB port is in a recessed cavity, thus certain fatter plugs cannot be used. It’s quite unnerving sifting through cables to find a thin enough one to plug in. The available AC power to USB adapter works just fine. One good point about this reader, as you will read in the neatly tabulated specs sheet below, is the availability of Indian Language text, this is more power to the Local public, which is always a good thing.
