Just like everyone else who's remotely fond of technology, we at Tech 2.0 think that lasers are totally awesome. I'm not talking about the regular laser pointers that are commonly used for presentations and general annoyance, but the kind of laser that's powerful enough to be easily visible from miles away , and also have the power to burn. If Star Wars just flashed in your mind, you're on the right path. Claimed to be the most powerful handheld laser in the world, the Spyder II is nothing like any laser pointer you have encountered before. It's as big as a standard flashlight (210mm x 26mm), heavy at 240g, and thanks to it's military grade aluminum body, it's sturdy as a tank. The laser has an output power of 200-300mW, which is a lot considering that a standard laser pointer has an output power of 5mW. With this much power backing it up, the laser is extremely bright, especially when aimed at nearby objects, where it appears blindingly bright. Luckily, the Spyder II GX bundles with LaserShades, that significantly cut down the light intensity of the laser point - an absolute necessity. |
