Asus has also bundled two utilities, SmartDoctor and GamerOSD, on the driver disc. SmartDoctor is a handy tool for monitoring the temperatures and manually overclocking the card. The main interface of SmartDoctor is tabbed and displays the temperatures of the core and memory in Centigrade or Fahrenheit. There are sliders for adjusting the core, shader and memory speeds at the bottom of the window. A few more tweaks can be accessed from the Settings dialog box. You can set the alarm threshold temperature for GPU and memory, control the fan speed, and even let SmartDoctor overclock the card automatically. Using the GamerOSD utility you can capture or broadcast gameplay videos over the Internet.
Performance The GTX 285 defeats the GTX 280, by merely a few frames per second because of its slightly faster core and memory speeds. However, it has an upper hand because it is manufactured using a 55 nm process. We tested ENGTX285 TOP on a rig powered by the Intel Core i7-965, 4 GB of DDR3 memory and a 500 GB Western Digital Caviar GP hard drive.
The card is just a little faster than a regular GTX 285 and generates a measly 3 to 5 fps more, which doesn't really justify its price premium. PCMark Vantage reported a performance bump of 4 percent, which we found to be totally imperceptible in any of our real-world gaming tests.
Conclusion For Rs 29,650 — the ENGTX285 TOP is a stellar performer, but it isn’t special when compared to the stock GTX 285.

The last couple of weeks, we’ve been testing quite a few graphics cards and there’s one thing for sure - you do get a good amount of performance from graphics cards that are designed to be budget offerings.
