Temperatures Both the card have almost identical thermal results. The 320 MB version idled at 53 degrees and went up to 67 at load. The 640 MB version idled at 52 degrees and went up to 67 at load. Conclusion: At lower resolutions (1280 x1024), the difference in performance is negligible, as seen in our 3DMark 06 and F.E.A.R results. The difference starts getting noticeable only at higher resolutions. So if you own a 19-inch LCD, which has a native resolution of 1280x1024 and 1440 x 900 for 19-inch wide-screen monitors, it would be wiser to get the 320MB version. Besides, it’s a good card overall with good thermals and at Rs. 20,500 it offers value for money, along with DirectX 10 support. |
