Performance Before reviewing these headphones, I decided to run them through break in and test tones for a while, as I wanted the optimum out of these headphones. I connected them to an M-audio Fast Track Pro sound card and hooked it up with Ableton Live software. I mixed in tracks the best i could and found that the bass is huge. That was the first thing I noticed. The headphones are good for bass heads, and people who generally like hot leveled electronic music and modern commercial music. Strictly speaking on an accuracy basis, i would have to say the bass overpowers the rest of the frequency range, though it does not sound all that bad. It's a fun, rhythmic experience, with a slightly masculine touch. I am not being gender biased. It's just that the guys will dig this sort of a response more. As I said, it's nice and heavy throughout, with beats and bass lines slamming the brainwaves. Mids and highs also came out well, they were of the forward sounding type. This is typical to DJ performance headphones - I had actually expected a sound like this. |
