Onkyo is a commonly-heard name when the discussion turns to home theater systems in India, for the company has been here for a while now. Today we shall review one of Onkyo's most popular mid-segment offerings – the TX SR575 7.1 channel AV receiver.

Design and Features
The faade has a typical array of buttons of all shapes and sizes. We might as well begin our journey at the square power button on the left, and move along to the huge volume knob on the right. The bottom left corner has a phono (-inch) output for headphones, while the opposite ends have a composite video input as one of the auxiliary-ins.

Designed to act as the hub of your HT, feature-wise this piece represents a new batch of AV receivers that are changing the rules of the game. Earlier, hardcore specs and options were reserved for the high-end models, but now most of the good stuff is trickling down.

Having said that, this model too is not entry-level; it comes with a boatload to satisfy even the most avid AV enthusiasts. Okay, maybe not the most avid, but still...
