Very recently we covered Full HD models of 32-inch LCD TVs, from almost every brand out there that offered such a product, except LG. Their stocks were empty and now they've made a fashionably late entry. Today we have LG's 32-inch Full HD model, called the LG 32LH70YR, a part of their acclaimed Scarlet 2.0 range. Design and features The neat back panel has an i/o window on its bottom left corner, containing the following ports: 3 HDMI ins, 2 composite video ins, 2 component video ins, 1 D-sub in( VGA for PC connection), one USB 2.0 slot and a RS-232. The USB slot can play JPEGs, MP3s, and in videos it can play Standard definition DivX, XviD, MPEG1 and MPEG2 codecs, in AVI, ASF, and MP4 containers. The list is not over; this TV also has Bluetooth, something LG boasts about. LG has not specified whether it's version 2.0 or not. One can use this feature to listen to wireless headphones or listen to MP3s from your mobile phone streamed on top of the TVs speakers. The TV speakers are “hidden”, as in placed at strategic points on the bezel, which alienates them from the front view, thus aiding the sleek design. The Panel used in this model is an IPS panel, another of LG’s touted USPs, but not exclusive to the LG brand. The aspect ratio is 16:9 while the panel resolution is 1920 x 1080. Brightness is rated at 500 nits, and Dynamic contrast is rated at 10,000:1. Response time is 2.4 ms, and viewing angle is a stiff and healthy 178/178 degrees. This is one of the advantages of having an IPS panel. |
