Performance The mouse tracks flawlessly across all kinds of surfaces. When it comes to performance, it’s one of the best performing ones we’ve seen. We used the mouse on a number of titles, but mostly on Counter Strike: Source, Tribes: Ascend and Team Fortress 2. Most of these are relatively fast paced games and we noticed that it needs hardly any time to get used to the controls. There’s hardly any jitter visible when you’re gaming on it. The lift-detection feature also works reasonably well, so you barely notice any movement of the cursor when you raise and drop the mouse on the tracking surface again. ![]() A ton of buttons on the M90
Reaction times are lightning quick. Compared to a reasonably high-end mouse such as the Razer Imperator or the trusty old, MX518, this is a massive improvement and it’s very clear after using it for just a short while. Adapting to it is not a problem. The shape of the mouse also lends itself well for all kinds of gamers - ones who hold the mouse like a claw, or the ones who use the entire palm. ![]() Sturdy wheel design and a solid metal base
The feel of the clicks is just right, with just the right amount of resistance. Even the scroll wheel is fluid in motion, with some resistance set in between. Most of the additional buttons have a decent feel except the ones at the bottom which are a little difficult to press accurately. It also tends to shift the mouse from side to side.

The Vengeance M90 - a well built mouse
Verdict and price in India Corsair has two mice out in the market, one of them is the one we reviewed, the M90. It’s priced at a rather modest Rs. 4,480, making it a really good buy if you’re looking for a no-nonsense, high-performance gaming mouse for your rig. However, the large number of buttons will rarely be used by a mainstream FPS gamer. For such people, there are cheaper options by other brands as well as the Vengeance M60 from Corsair. |

How We Test
The Tech2 Labs receives many products every single week and each of them is tested with the utmost care and highest level of objectivity. There’s a constant effort to reduce and totally eliminate subjectivity. Each product is tested according to set test processes so the same test scenario is used.
The ratings awarded to a product are derived from a number of tests and calculations, keeping certain important factors in mind. These factors consist of features, performance, quality and value for money. In case of software and some other categories, build quality might be replaced with ease of use or ease of installation. Products are compared with other products in a similar price range or product category.
The features component of the score is rated based on the kind of features present on a particular product. Features are a big part of what people look for when they’re buying a new product such as a phone or a camera.
The performance score is derived from the benchmarks and tests run on the product. In case of the subjective scores, an average of the scores given by the group of reviewers is considered.
The build quality of a product is important so that it doesn’t fall apart after some use. The build quality scores from the way the product is designed and the kind of materials used in the product.
Value for money comes from the fact that a cheap product is able to provide most of the performance of a higher priced product. Once again, value for money is judged by comparing pricing and performance of products in a particular price range or category.
There are many other aspects of the product that are looked at such as the bundled software and accessories. All of these scores are aggregated together to form the final score.
What do the ratings mean?
Ratings are simple - higher the score, the better the product. A brief listing of the features and what they mean are given below.
