The phone features a good variety of can-dos, and serious attempts can be seen in LG’s attempts at making a 'functional' phone. You can check your Gmail with a separate application that’s included. The phone supports HSDPA. You will have to wait to be able to use this, but what the heck! It supports GPRS too, and WLAN. Surfing is fun while browsing allows you to move anywhere on the page freely using the stylus. The phone also comes with the Google Package that includes Google Search, e-Blogger, Gmail and Google Maps for mobile, and MSN and Yahoo messenger services. Another cool aspect of the phone is the handwriting recognition and editing. You can not only choose to write messages on the screen with the stylus, but also do so easily while surfing. My only grouse is that like other touchscreen handwriting recognition, you will need to practice a bit and not expect it to be perfect. The 5 Megapixel camera is the USP of the Viewty. This you must have guessed from the ads, as there’s seldom anything else that the company is banking on. It comes with a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens that corresponds well with the 3-inch screen. |
