Nokia 3110 Classic

Features/Performance
The 3110 classic runs on series 40 UI, and is as smooth as you would expect it to be. However, this phone is as basic as it gets in today’s day and age. To begin with, the phone carries only 9MB of internal memory, leaving you very little room to move around. A couple of high-resolution pictures can take up all the space.

The phone supports MicroSD card external, however, there is not hot swap slot for the memory card. You will need to take the battery out every time you want to access the memory card.

The screen is a 1.7-inch TFT that can display up to 256K colors with 128 x 160 pixels. It’s conveniently easy on the eye. As far as connectivity goes the phone is pleasantly well equipped. It supports class 10 GPRS plus EDGE too. Although with the screen size such as that of the 3110, it certainly isn’t very pleasant to surf.

One good thing about the phone is that apart from supporting Bluetooth, the phone is also equipped with Infrared. Even though the odds of having to use it at least once in your lifetime is one in a million, there is chance today is that day.

Apart from this, the phone has all the standard applications that any other S40 phones would have like Alarm, Notes, Calculator etc. The phone, however, does support PTT, which is available in most of the recent 40 series Nokia phones. It also has World Clock, and Nokia Catalogue through which you can download the latest content for your phone.

Would you buy it?
