The 3600 runs on Series 40, which really complements the phone’s processing power.� It doesn’t lag at all, and this is obvious even while messaging or opening any applications. It comes with 64MB of built-in memory, of which only 30MB is available for data and content.

The phone’s not 3G-capable, but comes with EDGE and GPRS. The home browser isn’t that great, but Opera Mini 4 is bundled with the phone. Applying WAP/GPRS settings manually is still a b*tch. You will need to keep adding your username and password at a number of places, and the phone just keeps re-verifying all the information.

Nokia search comes in handy, and as you must have read in the promo material, the 3600 is clearly banking heavily on Nokia Maps as the deal-clincher. A GPS unit to supplement Nokia Maps would have been an even better brainwave, I think. Another good thing is that there are instructions on how to use a particular tool.

The music player is decent. It helps that the phone comes with a 2.5mm jack, although if you need to connect a regular pair of stereo headsets a 3.5mm converter will be a good idea. It supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, and WMA audio formats.
