The phone comes with a Bluetooth headset, which works fine. My main grouse is it doesn’t play music or videos. I know I would seldom use the headset for anything more than making phone calls, but I would like to know that all the options are available. The web browser was less than impressive especially for a hybrid smartphone. It’s a customized Opera, which kept showing “XML parsing failed”. This I thought was an Airtel problem (which it is) but a little digging revealed that it’s more than that. The problem is with the Opera browser being unable to successfully load web pages on my Airtel NOP (Net on Phone) plan. This error is pertinent to the Opera 8.65 version, which the G900 comes with. On Wi-Fi, however, this was a breeze. Having a touchscreen helps in clicking and browsing web pages. Opera 8.65 is equipped to handle YouTube, and other video streaming sites. The phone comes with BlackBerry integrated as part of the offering. This comes with push and pull mail options, so you can work anywhere. It has QuickOffice that allows you to work on your doc files as well as presentations. There’s also a PDF reader. The RSS feed application is really awesome. This was perhaps the most used application by me. |
