Features and Performance
Contrary to the Porsche Mobile’s design, there’s not much to discuss when it comes to the functionality of the handset. It’s strictly basic as handsets go. That is in no way a bad thing. It’s superbly smooth with a simple interface and clear options to choose from. Navigation is fluid and applications will open on a key press. No lag! It does have all the basic requirements that any other handset in any other class would have. Those include the simpler applications like the Calculator, alarm, timer, To Do list, and a Diary which is the Calendar feature for leaving memos and reminders etc. The weirdest thing is, I could not seem to find a 12 hour clock for the handset. The interface itself is catchy and easy to use. There’s also a Files option for accessing data from the memory card or the internal memory. The P'9521 also supports Java.

When it comes to connectivity the P'9521 supports EDGE class 10 and GPRS/WAP. It comes preinstalled with an OperaMini Browser so you’ll have no problem while surfing. The handset also supports Bluetooth with an A2DP profile and a Bluetooth headset is included with the packaging (with a charger). For safety, the Biometric sensor will scan your fingerprint so no one else can access the device if stolen or lost. In case the fingerprint doesn’t read for some reason a code can also be used to access the phone. The Sensor application can be used to lock the phone or specific options like the messages or the phone book. What I like is the placement of the sensor so it’s very easy to simply slide your thumb over while holding the device.

Its multimedia features are what really makes this phone more appealing. The sound quality of the music player is way above average. The animated graphics and manually adjustable EQ settings and presets will allow users to adjust the sound to their preference. It supports Mp3, AAC+, Midi and WAV formats. The bundled handsfree comes with a remote that has a 3.5mm earphone socket so you’re free to use your own headphones, though that wont be necessary. You’ll also be able to create playlists in the handset’s music library.

For video, like I said before, the best experience would be to swivel the display and let the Accelerometer for auto rotation of the screen works its magic. There’s also a video creator software that’s included in the box.
