Now I have to admit I simply adore the S10 interface. To begin with, iriver has been thoughtful to include the ‘flip’ option, depending on the manner in which you wish to use the player. What it does is, flips the screen upside down, so that if you are wearing the player round your neck, you don’t need to turn it around to work on it.

The D-clicking system works just fine, and the menu icons display brilliant colors. You can choose between screensavers, so that while it’s just hanging round your neck, it will keep displaying something cool. My personal favorite is the techno colored EQ visualization.

You can select play-mode and EQ presets by pressing and holding the right side of the screen. And if you would like to manage the 5-band EQ you will need to access settings from the main menu.

Above all what I like about this player is the choice of menu and sub menu colors. In my opinion, the choice of artwork the player subscribes to, makes a lot of difference.
