Samsung has bundled its Media Studio PC software to use with the YP-S2 for creating playlists etc. Due to the lack any functionality except copy and play, the software is be used simply for transferring files and adjusting them for better performance. If you want to play music according to genre, simply copy-paste them into designated folders that you have created on the drive, and they’ll play in that order.
Battery The Samsung YP-S2 manages a whopping 12.5 hours of uninterrupted music. The company states that it’s capable of 13 hours playback, so this comes pretty close.
The Bottomline At Rs 2,750 MRP (for 2GB) and offering no frills except some EQ presets (that do make a difference) the Samsung YP-S2QB may seem a little expensive. But gray market prices should be considerably lower. On the plus side it offers great battery life and good sound quality, and is light and convenient to carry around. Just make sure you store your music according to your liking in folders, or with a suitable prefix in their names. Everything else is fine.
