Porsche P'9521

The handset’s 3.2MMP auto-focus camera has plenty of settings to choose from and that includes White Balance settings, effects, timer, Macro mode and even a burst mode. Unfortunately, the image quality is just not up to par. The images, even in normal daylight will appear to be pastel and the colors smudged. Macro mode settings don’t seem to make much of a difference at all. The LED flashes do work really well in low light areas, as does the Night Mode, but sadly the images tend to appear the same. Hopefully this is a problem that will be rectified.

The P'9521 has an average battery life capable of allowing users to have at least 3 hours, give or take a few minutes, of talk-time. On this run, it gave me a day and a half worth of usage with camera usage, calls, messages and a little music as well. That’s not good from a phone as highly priced as this, but then again, it’s not a phone that would be used on a daily basis for too many calls so I’d estimate it to be just right for its end users.

The Bottom Line
Other than a few small issues, on the whole the performance of the Porsche P'9521 is smooth, fast and with virtually no other major issues. It’s still a niche product you’ll have to understand, priced at a whopping Rs. 77,000. It’s not a handset that you can compare to a full function, feature rich handset like the N82 and such, but it’s meant for an enthusiast who’d WANT to own something that not many others would have, after all, you can’t take a Porsche to the bazaar for vegetables now can you, but a fully loaded Maruti 800 would be just the ticket. For the kind of segment it’s directed at, I’d say, if I had the money, I’d probably have one. Someone talk to my boss. PLEASE!!!
