As in the previous model you can simply click-and-drag files and store them in folders that you can access from the player. The device can read AAC, MP3, WMA and Audible 2, 3 and 4 file formats. The volume and overall sound quality are good enough to drown out ambient noise, and the earphones are comfortable to wear. Coming to the most obvious feature that sets it apart (the speaker, that is) I have to say that while it may not be loud, it can easily take on most cellphones. If you were expecting it to sound like an iPod Dock or something in that league, think again. It wasn’t designed that way; it's way too small. It’s also not loud enough to entertain a bunch of people at a picnic or party, but then again neither is a mobile phone. Like the previous model this too comes with a stopwatch and a clock screensaver that looks quite catchy. Other than that it doesn’t have any other features that stand out. The battery life is decent and will give over 13 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. The company claims 20 hour playback for this model, but that’s being ambitious. The Bottomline |
