Media / Connectivity
Like I said before, this device is choc-o-block with feature that all you media frenzied tech-heads out there would want. It has your radio and MP3 player, JPEG viewer, video player, blah blah… wait! Did I just say video player? Yup! The T9 also plays video. And with the Samsung Media Studio software provided, it’s a cinch to convert your videos to the acceptable format and transfer the files. The picture quality at video resolution of 208x176 and frame rate of 15fps is also quite good.

Aside from that it also reads text documents, and you can also play a couple of games. Well not cool games but it’s just something to pass the time right? It has Baseball and an oddball Pizza delivery game.

Now here’s a bit of a weird thing. With the USB 2.0 cable you can connect to your PC and use the software to transfer files, but if you click on the external drive that shows up in the 'My Computer' window, it asks what software you’d like to open the drive with. Huh? But, if you go to the address bar and scroll to the drive it’ll open with no issues.

Files can be simply dragged and dropped and of course you can use the T9 as a storage device as well. The good thing is the T9 has a file explorer option in its menu because I couldn’t find my music files when I tried to play them through the Music option in the menu. It showed up empty. Even though I did 'Ctrl C-Ctrl V' the mp3s into the already created music folder. The trick is – to use the software. The files did play nevertheless, but it was touch and go there for a bit. Sound quality is fantastic. It supports MP3, OGG Vorbis and WMA for music, MPEG4 for video, JPEG for pictures saves your voice or FM recorded files at variable MP3 bit rates.
