Performance I have a pair of AE5s, so I first routed the audio from my PC to the speakers, which were kept about 25 feet away. It worked wonders; I didn’t notice any signs of dropout in the MP3s. I switched to CDs and uncompressed files, and noticed no difference here too – the highs were intact. I think the healthy bandwidth makes a difference.
image sourced from audioengineusa.com If I must nitpick, I used the speakers back home in total quiet, and encountered a very slight aberration in cymbals and vocal sibilance on good recordings like Sheffield CDs. Though I can’t say that's an issue, as it's way better than any wireless speakers or nifty gadgets I've come across in the past. Yes, this is true audio stuff. Conclusion |
