Audioengine AW1 Wireless Adapter

Performance
I have a pair of AE5s, so I first routed the audio from my PC to the speakers, which were kept about 25 feet away. It worked wonders; I didn’t notice any signs of dropout in the MP3s. I switched to CDs and uncompressed files, and noticed no difference here too – the highs were intact. I think the healthy bandwidth makes a difference.

If I must nitpick, I used the speakers back home in total quiet, and encountered a very slight aberration in cymbals and vocal sibilance on good recordings like Sheffield CDs. Though I can’t say that's an issue, as it's way better than any wireless speakers or nifty gadgets I've come across in the past. Yes, this is true audio stuff.

Conclusion
As always, this quality comes at a price, which is Rs 7200 for the AW1. However, it makes sense for serious music lovers and people who can afford to pay, especially if they have a new LCD or music system and don't want mass of speaker wires spoiling the décor. Check it out.
