Linksys WRT320N

27 Oct, 2009, 2:57 pm IST | by Francis D'sa | Wi-Fi Routers Wi-Fi Routers

The Linksys WRT320N is a sleek and elegant router for any home or small office environment. The router's concealed antenna enhances the stylish looks to blend with the interiors of any home or office.

The WRT320N is a dual-band 802.11b/g/n router and can operate on the 2.4 GHz band as well as on the 5 GHz band for optimal performance. The two bands cannot be operated simultaneously, but needs to be switched when required via the router’s setup interface. Operating a wireless network using the 5 GHz band is beneficial because this frequency band is used by very few other devices and hence there is no interference causing speed and range drops.

The router has an integrated four port gigabit Ethernet switch, thus building a faster wired networking infrastructure over that of regular 10/100 routers.

The WRT320N has the basic features of an N-based router such as WEP (64/128-bit) and WPA/WPA2 security levels, MAC/IP filtering, SPI Firewall, VPN pass through, Internet access policies, QoS, DMZ and so on. The router has a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) mode for easy, quick and secure networking of WPS compatible peripherals.

Setting up the Linksys WRT320N is child’s play and configuring it is very simple with the intuitive and user-friendly interface.

For Rs. 9,000, the Linksys WRT320N is a stylish dual-band wireless-N router for any home/office.
