A few tips to get you started with leveling up...
|
All the larger MMORPGs have ‘Professions’ your characters can take up that’ll help them either make a few bucks, or help them in their travels. You should pick up all the professions that benefit you as soon as possible, since they usually require you to level them up. Also, make sure that the profession you pickup is complementary to your character – for instance, if you’re a wizard that can only equip cloth/light armor, tailoring would be a good choice; on the other hand, if you’re a heavy armor wearing class, taking up some sort of metallurgic profession such as blacksmithing. To find out what professions would suit you most, you should spend some time on the forums of the game you’re playing. They help you with everything from basic tips, to skill builds, to other really useful information that you may not come across otherwise. Being regular on the game forums will help you in other ways too, such as finding a good guild/fellowship to help you out, finding good deals on rare items that’d empower your character, or at least keep you updated with the latest happenings on your server/realm. In the end, an MMORPG is pretty much community based, so being friendly and tolerant goes a long way. That said, you’ll come across a lot of retards that’ll go around berating others, calling people names and indulging in other childish behavior – such people get nowhere and it's best if you stay away from them or /ignore them. Try and be as helpful as possible to anyone who requires advice or something as simple as direction – you never know, the little level 1 dude you helped may one day grow to become the leader of the best guild on your server. |
