What’s it about: You’re John Mullins, a Soldier of Fortune and you go around traveling the world eradicating pesky terrorists for a price.

Why the controversy: Unfortunately for SoF, it’s biggest draw became the exact same reason it courted a lot of controversy and that would be the GHOUL engine that allowed you to blow off individual human limbs in a highly graphical manner. A shot to the head would cause an enemy's skull to explode leaving nothing but a bloody stump behind, while a shot to the stomach would expose his entrails. Shooting his leg off would result in him hopping around in pain for a couple of seconds before he bled to death and died.
